Namecoin became the first altcoin in 2011, as it was forked from Bitcoin, it is based on the code of Bitcoin and uses the same proof-of-work algorithm.

The cryptocurrency can store data within its own blockchain transaction database, its primary use is the censorship-resistant top level domain .bit which is functionally similar to .com or .net domains but is independent of ICANN, the main governing body for domain names.

Emblemvault is an EVM based ERC721 wallet, able to trade multiple blockchains on Ethereum, Polygon, BSC, Gnosis, Fantom (soon Aurora). The contents are still on their own blockchain and can be removed if the ERC721 is burned only then is the encrypted Private/Seed keys revealed to be imported to their native chain wallets.

ZeroNet is a decentralized web-like network of peer-to-peer (P2P) users, created in 2015, sites are identified by a public key (specifically a bitcoin address).

The private key allows the owner of a site to sign and publish changes, which propagate through the network. Sites can be accessed through an ordinary web browser when using the ZeroNet application, which acts as a local webhost for such pages.

ZeroNet is not anonymous by default, but it supports routing traffic through the Tor network.

There is no way to take down a ZeroNet page which still has seeders, thus making such pages immune to third-party methods of taking them down, including DMCA takedown notices.

Getting Started on ZeroNet

ZeroNet allows you to publish static and dynamic websites on a distributed web platform.

In ZeroNet there is no concept of servers. Thus, server-side languages like PHP or Ruby are not needed. Instead, one can create dynamic content using ZeroNet’s API (called ZeroFrame), JavaScript (or CoffeeScript) and the SQL database provided to all websites.

Creating a ZeroNet site

Registering a ZeroNet site to a dot-bit (.bit) Domain

Holders of Namecoin dot-bit addresses have generally being using ZeroNet from around 2016 onwards as you can see in the value section of the “Name operations” from the Namebrow.se explorer

https://www.namebrow.se/name/d/15k/

The above Namecoin asset had expired and returned to the pool, until I did some investigation on it, seeing the ZeroNet site was still connected.

Emblemvault

Using emblem.finance this is a perfect tool for social media NFTs like Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, who if they haven't already will be enabling you to upload your NFTs as avatar's, with Emblemvault you can place an unlimited amount of assets inside showing your favorite crypto ape plus adding your DNS address providing proof (if required) that you have the ownership of those dot-bit (.bit) addresses.

Since I am from the UK, I don't have the pleasure of using Twitter Blue just yet, but can always edit the profile images.
